Litigation Animation

Animations are increasingly being used for and during litigation. This is mainly because we find that in many legal situations the actual argument cannot be well communicated in court either because of highly complicated technical data or due to other complex situations that is difficult to describe verbally. This has given rise to the increasing use of legal animations and graphics in court. Many law firms have realized that with the use of legal animation they are able to achieve maximum recovery for their clients in settlement cases at the court houses.

Legal animation techniques are used by professional animators who work in coordination with law professionals and have to continuously thrive on creativity. Some of the most popular application of legal animation is seen in IP (Intellectual property) litigation and the following areas;

  • Scientific
  • Accident re-enactment
  • Forensic
  • Trial presentation

    Different kinds of multimedia/ flash animations 2D/3D effects are stored on DVD /CDs and can be shown on a computer to the jury or the decision makers in the case.

    Legal animations can be a great tool whenever a process has multiple outcomes, or when we have to differentiate a specific outcome from the others. The computer generated animated recreations make the courtroom presentation free of errors, when compared to oral explanation of events. In criminal litigations, legal animation is seen to be very effective in recreation of the crime scene and video evidences for the jury to visualize the events. Other successful application areas of legal animation are for reconstruction of the human body anatomy, chemistry etc.

    The greatest benefit of legal animation is that with it we can grab the attention of the audience and gradually improve the understanding of the argument in the case. Technical processes can be broken down and can be depicted in slow motion so that it becomes quite easy to understand. Even those processes that are unseen by the human eye can be clearly shown with graphics and animation.
